LuriaLab review: assessments, results, and privacy
LuriaLab is a free website with 73 psychological questionnaires, including the stress, anxiety, and sleep scales explained on this site. You can start a test anonymously, and giving an email address for your results is optional. LuriaLab states clearly that results are screening information, not a diagnosis. Before you start, note that its privacy policy says it does not knowingly collect data from under-16s, and that the crisis line it lists is for the US. [1] [2] [4]

How we put this review together
On 12 September 2026 we browsed the test directory and the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10) page in a desktop browser, and opened the test's start screen. We also read LuriaLab's About page, FAQ, user guide, privacy policy, and terms of use.
We did not submit answers, create an account, or buy a PDF, so we have not yet seen a results screen. The results section below relies on LuriaLab's own descriptions and the published scoring of the questionnaire.
What assessments does LuriaLab offer?
The directory listed 73 tests, which you can search or filter by topic. Topics range from stress, anxiety, sleep, and burnout to ADHD, eating, and personality. LuriaLab says its assessments are based on established psychological scales used in clinical practice and research. [4] [5]
For exam stress, the most relevant are general stress, anxiety, and sleep questionnaires, such as the Perceived Stress Scale, the GAD-7, and the Insomnia Severity Index. We did not find an exam-specific questionnaire, such as a test anxiety scale, in the directory. General scales describe how you have been feeling; they cannot say whether exams are the cause.
What happens when you take a test?
Each test has an information page with its age range, number of questions, and price, followed by a short overview of what it measures and how it is scored. The PSS-10 page listed an age range of 12+, 10 questions, and a price of Free, and described the questionnaire as "a screening measure, not a diagnostic test." [3]
Pressing Start the test opened a separate screen marked Anonymous. It repeated the instructions, offered an optional box for an email address if you want your results sent to you, and asked us to agree to the terms of use and privacy policy before the questions began.
Some pages also showed boxes of links unrelated to the test, such as "Take Psychology Courses" or a "Discover more" list. They are not part of the questionnaire, and you do not need them to take a test.
What do the results tell you?
LuriaLab says results include automatic scoring with an interpretation, and its PSS-10 page says "Your LuriaLab report shows your total and interpretation." We have not yet viewed a results screen ourselves. [3]
A score summarises your answers for the period the questionnaire asks about, which is the last month for the PSS-10. Bands such as low, moderate, and high are a guide. LuriaLab labels the PSS-10 bands as "commonly used reference bands (not official clinical cut-offs)". [3]
A result is not a diagnosis, and a low score does not mean you should not ask for help. If how you feel is affecting sleep, eating, or daily life, talk to someone whatever your score. Our explainers go through the scoring and limits of each questionnaire in more detail.
Is LuriaLab free?
The test we checked was free. LuriaLab's About page mentions optional paid action-plan PDFs for selected tests, which it describes as "educational roadmaps, not therapy". Its user guide says some tests may charge for results or interpretation, and that any fee is stated before you begin. We did not see a price during our check. [1] [6]
You do not need a paid PDF to understand a score. The explainers on this site cover what each score means, for free. The site also invites donations.
Who can use it, and what happens to your data?
LuriaLab's privacy policy says it "does not knowingly collect data from individuals under the age of 16." Some test pages list a lower age range, such as 12+ for the PSS-10. If you are under 16, talk to a parent, carer, or teacher before using the site, or read our explainer to understand a questionnaire without taking it. [2] [3]
The privacy policy says test responses are collected to generate results, stored securely, and not shared with third parties without your explicit consent. It says you can remain anonymous in most cases and can ask for your data to be deleted. It also says LuriaLab may use cookies and collects usage data such as IP address and browser type. The policy was last updated on 7 March 2025. [2]
The privacy policy and About page do not name the company that operates LuriaLab or give a postal address. The contact given is [email protected]. If that matters to you, email before submitting answers. [1] [2]
The crisis information on the site gives the US 988 line and "your local emergency number". If you are outside the US and need help urgently, use your local emergency number or the urgent-help section of our article on when stress is too much. [3]
Strengths, drawbacks, and alternatives
You do not have to take a questionnaire to get help. A teacher, doctor, or school or university support service can talk things through with you without a score.

- Use it if you are 16 or over and want to take a standard questionnaire for free, without an account, and read your score alongside our explainer.
- Read the explainer first, so you know what the questionnaire measures and which time period to answer for.
- Look elsewhere if you are under 16, want an exam-specific measure, or need a diagnosis or treatment. For those, speak to a professional.
